SUGAR PLANTS

ESCOL CHEMICALS provides products and services that help increase customer productivity in cane sugar production processes, operations and equipment.

Products

Area of application: Sugar Plants

Description: Cane juice and intermediate materials in the sugar production process are favorable environments for the development of microorganisms that enter with the cane to the factories. During the process, these microorganisms can cause physicochemical changes such as increased acidity and viscosity in the process materials and elongation of the sugar crystal. These changes have impacts on sucrose recovery, product quality and production costs. Hence the importance of the bactericides to be applied to keep the population under control. We have broad spectrum microbicides for the control of Leuconostoc, mesenteroids associated with fermentation. Obviously the biocides used in this industry must be used at levels that are not harmful for human consumption.

Area of application: Sugar Plants

Description: Scale inhibitor based on combinations of organic phosphates and polyacrylates (co, ter, polymers). They are used to control fouling and deposits in cooling towers, boilers, multistage evaporators, vacuum pumps, evaporative condensers, chillers and process units such as evaporators, pans and crystallizers.

Area of application: Sugar Plants

Description: Solid anionic polymers of very high charge density and ultra high molecular weight, soluble in water, which show superior performance in solid-liquid separation in a wide range of conditions, such as pH, temperature, solids concentration, color and density. One of its main applications refers to the flocculation and clarification of cane juice and does not modify the pH of the clarification.

Area of application: Sugar Plants

Description: We have foam control agents. Products based on esters, fatty alcohols and additives mixed with surfactants.

Area of application: Sugar Plants

Description: Due to the formation of incrustations in process equipment such as evaporators, pans and crystallizers it is often necessary to use mineral acids such as concentrated hydrochloric acid to remove these incrustations in order to recover the efficiency and useful area of this equipment.

Area of application: Sugar Plants

Description:  In order to protect metallurgy subject to chemical cleaning it is necessary that the acid is accompanied by a corrosion inhibitor such as Rodine.
